ELBOW PROBLEMS
How is the elbow designed and what is its function?
The elbow is a joint where three long bones meet in the middle portion of the arm to form a hinge joint. A problem with the movement and position of these joints, forming the elbow joint, can produce aches and pains in the elbow, down the forearm, wrist and hand.
At the Wolff Clinic we frequently treat elbow conditions such as:
-
Tennis elbow
-
Golfers elbow
-
joint misalignment
-
repetitive strain injury
-
tendinitis
-
aches and pains from arthritis
-
nerve irritation
-
sports injuries
-
work related injuries (i.e.: from lifting, working with mouse)
Treatments
At the Wolff Clinic, we have the tools to easily diagnose and treat injuries to the elbow, incorporating the use of many therapies (i.e.: Neuro Muscular Strengt Testing, NMST), all of which are gentle, safe, natural and non invasive. in most cases however, the chiropractor will use an adjustment to correct spinal restrictions or joint misallingments. An adjustment involves the gentle and specific application of a force to the joint or spine in order to allow the body to restore normal joint and nervous system function. This is pain FREE. Management of the condition may involve specific advice on exercise and rehabilitative measures as well as lifestyle and nutritional counceling.
